Three Pieces for Clarinet and Cello - Premiered and commissioned by Colin Roshak (clarinet) and Aliya Ultan (cello) in March 2018.
When writing this piece, I wanted to highlight the multifaceted and dynamic musicalities of both Colin and Aliya. I decided to write three short, contrasting movements that highlight their sensitive playing in various ways. While each movement is distinct and has its own character, they are closely connected and thought of as a single journey across all three.
